Four proxy types for different jobs

All four products draw from the same balance. If you're new, start with rotating residential.

Rotating residential proxies

Connect through IPs that ISPs assign to ordinary homes. For data collection and automation, you look like a regular visitor.

  • New IP per request or sticky sessions
  • Country and city targeting
  • Pay only for traffic used
  • HTTP and SOCKS5

Static ISP proxies

Keep the same IP for a whole month. Good for account work and checkout testing where a changing IP causes trouble.

  • Same IP all month
  • Sessions that don't drop
  • City targeting
  • Billed per IP

Datacenter proxies

The pick when speed and price come first. Enough for high-volume lookups on sites with light blocking.

  • Fast responses
  • Low starting price
  • Handles many parallel requests
  • Billed per IP

Mobile proxies

Connect through IPs on carrier mobile networks. Use them when you need a phone user's view, like app screens or mobile ads.

  • Carrier mobile IPs
  • Country targeting
  • Pay only for traffic used
  • Good for mobile page checks

New here? Start small from $20

Top up a little, try it, and add more only when you need it. Any balance left carries over to your next job.

Used for all kinds of work

Most work with public web data fits. It suits tasks where you need to switch regions or spread requests across many IPs.

AI and automation

Spread long-running jobs across many IPs, like collecting public documents for model training or scheduled bot tasks.

Data collection

Collect public information like prices, stock and reviews on a schedule. Check values that differ by region through local IPs.

Ad verification

Check with local IPs that your ads show up correctly for users in other countries and cities.

Social media accounts

Tie each account to its own static IP so every account keeps a steady login location.

Search rank tracking

Switch countries and cities to compare results and rankings for the same keyword.

Website testing

See how your site looks to visitors abroad, and check that language and prices show correctly.

A setup that keeps working as you grow

From small tests to large jobs, keep using the same account and the same connection method.

Built for AI data collection

Large collection jobs like training data need requests spread across many IPs so none gets overloaded. A new IP on every request is the default.

  • Automatic IP rotation per request
  • Spread by country and city
  • Pay only for traffic used

Plug into the tools you use

Any tool that takes a proxy address, like Python, Node.js, Scrapy or Puppeteer, connects with nothing extra to install.

  • Just the address, username and token
  • Both HTTP and SOCKS5
  • Set the location in the username

Sessions that hold

Tasks behind a login need the same IP the whole time. Name a session and keep working on one IP for up to 120 minutes.

  • Same IP for up to 120 min
  • Separate IPs by session name
  • Static ISP keeps one IP all month

Performance and control for your jobs

Rotate IPs, pick locations and check usage from one account.

Fewer blocks, higher success

Blocked requests are retried on a new IP. Traffic isn't piled onto one IP, so you get blocked less.

Home IPs in 60 countries

Pick a country and city and send requests as if from a home in that area.

Run big jobs automatically

Hand repeated work like collecting, checking and testing to your scripts and just take the results.

See it all in the dashboard

Check your balance, daily usage and top-up history on one screen.

Connect it to your project

Copy the sample code in your language and use it as is. Put the token you got at sign-up in place of YOUR_TOKEN and you're connected.

Minimal personal data, clear usage rules

A ProxyMay account is one access token. The server stores a hash of it, its last four characters and your top-up records, never the token itself.

Use it only for legitimate work like collecting public information, verifying ads and checking how pages look by region. It can't be used to break into other people's accounts or to send spam.

  • One token per account
  • Token stored as a hash
  • Legitimate use only

01

What is a residential proxy and how does ProxyMay work?

ProxyMay is a residential proxy service that puts home IPs, mobile carrier IPs, static ISP and datacenter IPs on one balance.

A residential proxy sends your request through an IP that an internet provider assigned to an ordinary household. The target site sees that home address instead of your server, so you get the same pages, prices and search results a local visitor would get.

The setup is simple. Every request goes to one gateway, gate.proxymay.com:7000, and the username decides which IP you get. The username starts with user and adds the options you want, joined with -. The password is the access token you received at sign-up. On the tool side that means four fields: host, port, username and token.

  • type-mobile: use an IP on a carrier mobile network
  • country-jp: pick a country by its two-letter code
  • city-tokyo: pick a city in lowercase, with _ for spaces
  • session-shop1: the same name keeps the same IP for up to 120 minutes

HTTP and SOCKS5 both run on the same gateway, so choose whichever your tool supports.

02

How to choose the right proxy product for the job

The four products differ in where the IP comes from and how you pay for it. Start with one question: can the IP change during the job, or does it have to stay the same for a long time?

ProductIP sourceBillingBest for
Rotating residential proxiesOrdinary home IPsFrom $0.80/GBPublic data collection, SEO rank checks, ad verification
Static ISP proxiesSame IP for a whole monthFrom $3.00 per IPYour own accounts, allowlisting, checkout testing
Datacenter proxiesDatacenter IPsFrom $1.20 per IPHigh-volume lookups on sites with light blocking
Mobile proxiesCarrier mobile network IPsFrom $4.00/GBMobile ads and mobile page checks

Not sure yet? Start small with rotating residential proxies. If the target site accepts your traffic easily and speed matters more, move to datacenter proxies. If you need to stay logged in for long stretches, move to static ISP proxies. Datacenter proxies are available in 18 countries and mobile proxies in 56 countries.

03

New IP per request vs sticky session

By default, rotating residential proxies give you a new IP on every request. For jobs that read thousands of public pages, requests spread over many addresses and no single IP carries the load.

Some jobs break when the address changes halfway: logins, carts, multi-step forms. For those, add session- plus a name to the username. Names use letters and digits, up to 16 characters, and as long as you reuse the same name you keep the same IP for up to 120 minutes.

ModeUsername exampleFits
New IP per requestuser-country-usCollecting listing pages, bulk lookups
Sticky sessionuser-country-us-session-cart7Work after a login, step-by-step page checks
Same IP all monthStatic ISP proxiesKeeping a steady login location per account

Give each job its own session name and each job gets its own IP. Numbered names like session-a1 and session-a2 let you run several jobs at once without them mixing.

04

Country and city targeting takes one line in the username

ProxyMay lets you target IPs in 60 countries and 175 cities. All targeting lives in the username, so you change regions by editing a string, not your tool settings.

user-country-de
user-country-us-city-new_york
user-country-jp-city-tokyo-session-shop1
user-type-mobile-country-gb

The first line gives a German home IP, the second a New York home IP, and the third holds a Tokyo IP in a session. The last line uses a UK carrier mobile IP; mobile proxies target down to the country level. Write city names in lowercase and replace spaces with underscores.

To confirm the setup, run the curl check from your dashboard. If the response from https://ipinfo.io/json shows the country and city you asked for, you're set. See the city list for every country on coverage.

05

Four connection formats and your first test request

The dashboard shows the same login details in four formats. Check which fields your program expects and copy the matching one.

FormatShapeTypical use
HTTP URLhttp://user:token@host:portPython requests, Node.js, most scraping tools
SOCKS5 URLsocks5://user:token@host:portBrowser automation and other tools that take SOCKS5
Colon separatedhost:port:user:tokenTools that import proxy lists one line at a time
curl checkRequest to https://ipinfo.io/jsonFirst check of connection and location
curl -x http://user-country-jp-city-tokyo:[email protected]:7000 https://ipinfo.io/json

If the result shows Japan and Tokyo, you're ready. If the location is off, check the username spelling first, especially lowercase city names and underscores. If the connection is refused, the most common cause is a token pasted incorrectly.

06

Recommended products and settings by job

The right settings depend on the job. Here are starting points for the most common ones; adjust region and session length as you see results.

JobProductExample setting
Public data collectionRotating residentialuser-country-us, no session, new IP per request
Ad verificationRotating residential or mobileuser-country-gb-city-london; for mobile ads user-type-mobile-country-gb
SEO rank checksRotating residentialuser-country-de-city-berlin, new IP per query
Price monitoringDatacenter or rotating residentialDatacenter for lightly protected sites, user-country-fr for regional prices
Localization testingRotating residentialuser-country-jp-city-osaka-session-test1 to browse several pages on one IP
Managing your own accountsStatic ISPOne IP per account, the same IP all month

For daily jobs like price monitoring that read the same pages, a steady request interval keeps the load on the target site low. Localization testing checks whether language, currency and shipping notes change by region, so results are more accurate when the IP holds while you move from page to page.

Ad verification often means viewing the same ad from several cities in turn. Keep a ready list of usernames that differ only by city and repeat runs go faster. Rank checks work the same way: fix your country and city pairs, use a new IP per query, and results won't lean on one address's history.

07

One balance for all four products: a worked cost example

ProxyMay doesn't bill each product separately. Top up once and every product draws from that balance. Rotating residential and mobile proxies are charged per GB of traffic used; static ISP and datacenter proxies are charged per IP.

Say you top up $200. The 25% bonus is added as a separate line, so your balance becomes $250. You could split it like this:

  • 100 GB of rotating residential at $0.80/GB comes to $80
  • 10 static ISP IPs at $3.00 per IP come to $30
  • 20 GB of mobile at $4.00/GB comes to $80
  • That's $190 spent, and the remaining $60 stays for your next job

Balance, daily usage and top-up history sit on one dashboard screen. Since per-GB usage depends on page size, watch usage for the first day or two and set your tool to skip resources you don't need, like images and video. The same balance then covers noticeably more pages.

When your mix of work changes, there's nothing to reallocate. Spend more on rotating residential in a heavy collection month and more on static ISP when account work grows, all from the same balance. Bonus tiers and payment details are on proxy pricing.

08

Rules for safe and lawful proxy use

ProxyMay is built for public data collection, ad verification, SEO rank checks, price monitoring, website and localization testing, and managing your own accounts.

  • Accessing someone else's account without permission is not allowed
  • Spam, fraud, attacks and illegal content are forbidden
  • So is anything that breaks the law or violates a target site's rights

Good habits in practice: read the target site's terms first, keep request rates reasonable, and leave pages with personal data out of your collection. Your access token is both your login password and your proxy password, so keep it out of code repositories and shared documents. The server stores only a hash of the token and its last 4 characters, so a lost token cannot be recovered. Full rules are in the terms of service.

Get started with ProxyMay in 4 steps

Getting connected is quick. Follow these steps and you can send your first request right away.

  1. 1Sign up and you receive one access token starting with pm_.
  2. 2Save the token somewhere safe, like a password manager. It can't be shown again, so this step matters most.
  3. 3Top up the balance you need on the pricing page. A small first amount is plenty.
  4. 4Copy the address format you need from the dashboard into your tool, then run the curl check to confirm the IP and location.

Connection examples for Python, Node.js, curl and more are in the quick start.
